Implantable Biotrackers for Cows - ctodaily 17/5/18

Subcutaneous Fitbits? These cows are modeling the tracking technology of the future - MIT Tech Review

A company called Livestock Labs is developing biotrackers that "use low-energy Bluetooth to ping a nearby base station and transfer information about the cows’ chewing frequency, temperature, and general rambling around the farm."

This data will be used to help train machine learning algorithms to identify which activities and biometric data correlate with things like disease.

The creator of the biotrackers hopes to bring this technology to humans.
